About SBA Acquisition Data
SBA acquisition counsel, nationwide. Free consultation.
Who publishes it
SBA Acquisition Data is an independent data publication. It turns the SBA's public 7(a) loan file into pages about the loans used to buy existing businesses, by franchise brand, industry, state, and lender.
Why it exists
Buyers, brokers, lenders, and journalists lacked a free view of acquisition-specific 7(a) data. The SBA publishes the raw file, but it mixes startups, expansions, and acquisitions. This site isolates the acquisitions and explains how to read them. Details are on the methodology page.
M&A counsel for SBA and franchise acquisitions. Free consultation.
Sponsorship
The site is sponsored by Acquisition Stars, an M&A law firm. Sponsorship does not affect the data: figures are computed by the same code for every page, and no sponsor can change a number, a ranking, or a page. Sponsor links are labeled "Sponsor". Other advertisers can apply on the advertise page.
What this site is not
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration or any lender or franchisor named.
- Not legal, financial, or lending advice. The figures describe past loans in aggregate.
Purchase agreement, escrow and consents. Free consultation.
